Jennifer L. and Camillia E. praised the ambiance, service, and quality of the food, with Camillia noting the excellent Sunday buffet at a reasonable price point.
My personal experience at Prossimo Ristorante was equally memorable. The Alfredo dish, where cheese is flambeed tableside, was both entertaining and mouthwatering. The knowledgeable and friendly server enhanced the dining experience, making it feel like a culinary journey typically found in larger cities or on the East Coast. While the menu may lean towards the higher end in terms of pricing, the exceptional quality and flavors justify the cost.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a remarkable dining experience, Prossimo Ristorante is a must-visit destination in Tulsa. With its diverse menu, impeccable service, and charming ambiance, this restaurant has undoubtedly earned its reputation as a top-tier dining establishment.
“ On behalf of my wife Judith: "I cannot recommend Prossimo Ristorante highly enough for your fine dining and catering needs. The owners, chef, and all of the employees behind the scenes went far beyond expectations to make certain we were completely thrilled with not only the incredibly delicious food but also the planning and execution of our catering event. We have always had the same fabulous experience when we have dined in the beautiful restaurant. What a fabulous location to celebrate special occasions. Thank You!" ”
“ I must provide an update. The manager at Prossimo contacted me about my review. No suggestion that I should edit it or remove it. But sincerely offered to make it right and invited me back in. This is how you treat customers. ”
“ my husband & i came here to celebrate his birthday & we were blown away at the ambiance, service & delicious food. we can't wait to go back! ”
“ I did not choose to go to this restaurant, but I'm glad that I really went. My first experience was years ago and with reservations we were not greeted for 30 minutes, but now I hear that they have a completely new staff etc. I'm really glad that I went because for the quality and the $29 price point for this Sunday buffet. I will absolutely be back multiple times. In addition they were able to accommodate a large group and our server was on point with everything if you have not tried the spot I highly recommend it. I will be back for dinner service. ”
“ This was a real treat! I hadn't been to a restaurant as nice as this for as long as I've been in Tulsa. This experience felt like something you'd find in a big city or somewhere on the east coast at least! I ordered the Alfredo dish where they light the cheese on fire at your table, and it was quite entertaining! Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and friendly! The food was delicious; however, this is not a wallet-friendly restaurant. Be prepared to spend! ”
“ Southern Italian at its finest! If you like fresh fish, step right up! They get fresh shipments of their fantastic seafood. If you want to opt for "normal" Italian food, this is also an excellent choice! Huge portions so don't be afraid to share or know you will be leaving with leftovers that will be delicious later. Homemade fresh pasta and amazing service. Our waiter so accommodating and pleasant! He made sure that we understood everything on the menu and made fantastic suggestions. We were seated in the addition out back, I believe you could rent it for special occasions as a large party had just left before we were seated. Just gorgeous! The entire place and the white table cloths makes everything really elegant and classy! ”
“ This an upscale but understated Italian restaurant with a lovely interior, amazing food, and even better service. I wasn't sure what to expect when my boyfriend took me here, but I had such a nice time that I hope to come back the next time I'm in town, if only to get more of their tableside alfredo pasta! Overall we got to try: - Complimentary Foccacia (5/5): Delicious basket of bread that comes with creme fraiche salted butter, tapenade, and a garlic puree. I had to restrain myself from getting full on this alone, it was so good. - Grilled Flatbread (4/5): Came with fig, goat cheese, sage, and walnuts. I would have like a bit more goat cheese flavor but the sweetness of the fig almost unbalanced this for me. Bf thought it was too sweet but I liked this a lot - Caesar Salad (5/5): Came as a wedge salad, which was unexpected. A little anchovy forward (in the dressing, not as a topping), which I love but may not be to everybody's taste - Table Side II Vero Alfredo (5/5): Standout menu item for me! Prepared in a flaming parmesan cheese wheel tableside by the nicest waiter. I didn't get their name, but I appreciated their good sense of humor and performance flair. The idea is a little gimmicky, but it was really a nice experience. Love how light the pasta is since there is no added cream- all the flavoring comes from unadulterated, good quality parmesan. Could have eaten barrels of this and been happy. - Chicken Parmigiano (5/5): This was the optional protein we chose to pair with the pasta. Highly recommend- it's delicious on its own, but the acidity from the tomato sauce helped cut through the richness of the cheese in the alfredo pasta. Thanks to our waiter, Aaron, who took excellent care of us throughout the meal. He was the sommelier on duty that night, so if you are interested in a wine pairing, that can also be done for you. We had a great experience at Prossimo and I can't recommend them highly enough! - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 ”
“ This was on our visit to Tulsa. Across from Rosevelts. Really nice place. We ordered a medium specialty pizza that they are known for. Simple cheese with oil drizzled on top. It was ok but needed more cheese. The other ones looked alot better on other tables. Still Good but simple. Higher priced with good service. ”
